New Patients

First session with VanCity Physio? We want you to be relaxed and ready to begin the journey towards recovery. You’ll find all the details you need to know below.

What to Expect During Your First Session

Your first appointment is our opportunity to get to know each other a little better and discover the most effective way to help you recover. Once you've booked an appointment and created an account, the process will be smoothed by you completing our intake form in advance of your appointment. Once you’re settled in, we will carry out an in-person or video assessment and discuss the issues you’ve been having. We will then proceed to a tailored treatment plan that is unique to your needs. Want to keep up the progress in your own time? Love the enthusiasm! We’ll be happy to produce a rehab exercise program to follow.

Before your first appointment, please have the following on hand:

  • Your Provincial Care Card or Care Card Number
  • Doctor’s referral, if applicable
  • Your Extended Health Benefits Card
  • Diagnostic Imaging Results (X-Ray, CT Scan or MRI), if applicable
  • Comfortable, gym-style clothing (yoga pants, shorts, t-shirt)
